I'll never forget several years ago when the Co symphony had a "Celebration of Jeffrey Kahane". Your grandmother and one of your dad's good friends had just passed away yet your dad was there to rehearse and conduct the concerts. It was such a painful, difficult time for him, yet he walked the talk. Kind of a family theme and variations. I hope we get to do your opera here!

Love the idea of a "folk opera" ! Also really love seeing all the amplification on stage. We absolutely need more of that. Stay in touch!

Was there for the premium - was fantastic, and certainly none of the wobbliness you allude to showed through. What a lovely and engaging piece, beautifully performed.

I've listened to/watched the livestream of the Oregon performance twice already today, and I'll probably listen to it a few more times before the stream expires. Thank you for sharing the real-life circumstances that surrounded this performance--they didn't show, you're a consummate professional--but knowing about them makes it realer, I guess.

I...just love this piece so much, even on just the second listen. It is truly a gift that opens the heart, and I thank you for it. I hope it has a long life.
